Who We Are

We are Bruce and Laura Edgar serving in our 16th year in Nicaragua, and ABWE Regional Directors for Central America & Mexico.
Prior to moving to Managua, Nicaragua, we lived in Lakeland, FL where we taught at Lakeland Christian School, ministered as part Heritage Baptist Church, and volunteered at Camp Gilead in Polk City, FL, until we were led to missions through various short term missions trips to Ecuador, Russia, and Nicaragua. We were introduced to the ministry of ABWE in Nicaragua through Larry and Bev Smith, now retired missionaries with ABWE, and are thrilled that the Lord has brought us to the place of serving with the Nicaragua Team! |

What we doOur work in Nicaragua stretches from church planting, theological training, and mentorship, to hosting short term service and learning teams that work in the community to further church plant development.
Bruce currently serves as the Church Planter Coordinator, and is involved with full time theological training, and mentoring of Nicaraguan Pastors. We also host multiple service and learning teams each year that work alongside Nicaraguan church plants to help in their development through youth ministries, door to door evangelism, construction and other ministry opportunities. |
