I have been a missionary kid since I was very little. My parents moved to Nicaragua when I was around six years old. Having grown up in a different culture, with people from various others, I had never really thought about going on a mission trip to a different country before now.
As of last April, I felt like I was being called to go somewhere new, to a culture that would be foreign to me and would give me the opportunity to learn more about the world and what other missionaries are doing around the world. As I began searching, and asking God where, Africa kept popping up in the “usual everyday life”. At that point, I strongly felt that that was where I was being led. When the idea was mentioned to one of my ABWE Nicaragua team members and mentors, Traci Warner, she expressed interest in going and will be traveling with me. As we kept talking about it and began planning towards it, many of the details began falling into place.
We will be traveling the last 2 weeks of June 2017 to Tanzania, where some friends of Traci, the Burkholders, have a ministry center with an English speaking school on campus. I’ll be involved in chapel services and Bible classes with the kids there. You can see more about their ministry at https://vimeo.com/179143503.
In order to make this trip possible much support will be needed in the upcoming months, coming in a couple of forms. First, I will need to raise around $4,000 in support. This will cover airfare and all expenses in country. I have already begun saving, but I am also looking for financial partners. If you would like to partner with me, gifts can be made through PayPal to Emmalouwho20@gmail.com or may be sent to:

Second, and most of all, I am looking for prayer partners, who would commit to pray for me in the months to come and during my trip. Pray for good health, and safety during travel, as well as that everything would go smoothly. Personally, I seek to grow in not only the knowledge of a foreign country but also of God.
