We are excited about the 2nd annual missions conference that we are hosting at the ABWE Ministry Center on October 7th and 8th. We will be having a day just for pastors on the 7th, with seminars and dedicated time to pray for the conference. On the 8th we are expecting up to 600 people. There will be several breakout sessions as well as keynote speakers. All of the sessions are focused on different aspects of missions and are taught by local pastors. Bruce will also be co-teaching a session on hosting teams for the pastors. The goal is to demonstrate the steps necessary for Nicaraguan churches to send out their own missionaries. Please pray for all of the logistics that will come with an event of this size and for people's hearts to be turned toward missions, both in other parts of Nicaragua and around the world.
Gregorio Rivas, on the right, is a graduate of the Institute of Church Planters class of 2015, and has been actively promoting church planting in the area around his hometown of Niquinohomo ( ni-key-no'-mo), Nicaragua. He is a great example of I Timothy 2:2 as he strives to learn as much as he can and pass it on to others so that they can grow and lead. This has led to the formation of other 'houses of prayer' which over time develop into church planting locations. Please pray for Gregorio as he presently works as a builder and leads Iglesia Bautista Ebenezer in Niquinohomo.
So far $550 in support has been committed toward Emma's missions trip to Tanzania this summer. We are grateful for this provision. Her goal of $4,000 is determined much by airfare. Please pray for a favorable ticket to be available in the next several months so that the goal may decrease a bit!
