Hurricanes...Shortly after hurricane Ian impacted Florida, including several of our supporting churches and many friends, Nicaragua's east coast was hit by hurricane Julia. While not as strong as Ian, Julia dropped a ton of rain causing a lot of flooding. Because of generous donations, we were able to partner with Nicaraguan church associations to send relief, both to the north and south regions on the east coast. We spent a lot of time helping with logistics to pack 1,000 bags to be given to 1,000 families through churches in the affected areas. Each bag had rice, beans, oil, sugar, toiletries, etc. We couldn't have done it without help from the churches, the Word of Life CCM students, teammates, and those who gave so generously. REGISTER NOW TO JOIN US IN ORLANDO JANUARY 13-14!As we have prayed Matthew 9:38 daily for the Lord to send more laborers, we have been praying that our supporting churches would continue to mobilize their church members to missions. We would love to pack out the 24 hour Demo in Orlando with people from our supporting churches who want to take a first step toward missions with ABWE. We attended the Demo last January and will be there again in 2023. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the Demo itself or missions in general. It was a wonderful time connecting with missionaries from St. Lucia, Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. We can't wait for our in person conference next October! IMPORTANT CHANGE TO |

Furlough wrap-up
These few months in the US have felt long and short all at the same time. We are so thankful for the time we have had to spend with family and friends while keeping a very busy schedule of visiting supporting churches and individuals.
We are grateful for the way God has provided for all of our needs along the way. Thank you for praying for us!

In May, Bruce had the opportunity to attend the International Theological Educators Summit in Harrisburg at ABWE IHQ. It was a great time of collaboration and learning.
While there, he and Laura met with many department heads to learn of the resources they provide to regional directors. It was such an encouragement to both of us!

Dear Praying Friends,
We wanted to share with you that we have been asked to add Regional Director for Central America & Mexico to our list of responsibilities with ABWE.
Our position will become official on July 1, 2022. This timing will allow us to finish our furlough as we plan to return to Nicaragua on June 18.
We are thankful that we will be able to continue living in Nicaragua working with the Church Planters Institute and hosting teams, while adding the role of Regional Director.
Our position will involve visiting and encouraging missionaries and coordinating missionary efforts in our region. At present, we have missionaries in Mexico, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. We would like to expand these teams and open new fields in Central America as well.
We covet your prayers as we desire to serve our region well, and to fulfill the great commission by multiplying leaders, churches and missions movements among every people.
For His glory,
Bruce and Laura Edgar
